South Gate Zine Fiesta 2026

The South Gate Zine Fiesta returns to the South Gate Museum and Art Gallery on June 27, 2026, one of the most community-rooted events in the growing SoCal zine circuit. Zine culture is self-publishing at its most honest: photocopied pages, hand-stapled covers, writing and art made without asking permission from anyone. The Fiesta gathers independent zinemakers, small press publishers, and artists from across Los Angeles County for a day of trading, tabling, and talking about the things corporate media has no interest in. The South Gate Museum and Art Gallery at 8680 California Avenue provides an accessible Southeast LA venue that serves communities not always centered in the city's cultural conversation. Admission is free or low cost. This event sits on the same circuit as the Los Angeles Zine Fest, Little Tokyo Zine Fest, and Jefferson Park Artbook Fair, all of which attract the same dedicated community of writers, artists, and readers who prefer handmade to algorithm-curated. Bring $20, leave with a stack of things you have never seen anywhere else, and follow at least three creators before you walk out the door. The South Gate edition is the most neighborhood-rooted of the SoCal circuit and worth the drive from anywhere in the basin. Free parking at the museum. Event runs 10 AM to 6 PM.
