DESCRIPTION:The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival returns to Lake Skinner in June 2026 for its 41st annual celebration\, one of the most visually spectacular events in Southern California. The three-day festival combines hot air balloon launches at dawn and dusk with wine tasting from over 30 Temecula Valley wineries\, live entertainment on two stages\, and a full outdoor festival experience under the open sky. The balloon launches are the centerpiece: dozens of colorful balloons inflate in the morning hours and lift off over the lake in a visual spectacle that draws photographers and families from across the region. Evening glow events light up the balloons after dark for an entirely different experience. Tethered ride tickets are available for those who want to go up without a full flight. The wine tasting component features local Temecula Valley producers alongside food vendors and craft beer options. The music programming covers classic rock\, country\, and contemporary artists across the weekend. Lake Skinner is located off I-15 between Temecula and Murrieta\, with ample parking and on-site camping available.
