One of California's oldest and largest outdoor arts and crafts festivals returns to Montrose for its annual two-day run in June. More than 150 juried artists and craftspeople set up along Honolulu Avenue in the Montrose Shopping Park, covering painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, glasswork, woodworking, textiles, and handmade goods of every kind.
The Montrose Arts & Crafts Festival has been running for over forty years, which means it has a genuine community identity — local families make an annual tradition of it, the same artists return year after year, and the browsing is genuinely different from a generic craft fair because the work is juried and the curation matters. Street food and local restaurant participation rounds out the event.
