Marigold pathways run the length of the park\, sugar skull installations sit where you would otherwise be hurrying to a meeting\, and music and dance run from afternoon straight through the evening while food vendors line the perimeter. Tens of thousands come through\, and it stays free\, because the point is that anyone can walk in — including people who did not grow up with the tradition and want to understand it.\n\nGrand Park downtown\, off the Metro at Civic Center.
