DESCRIPTION:You come looking for one painting and leave with a conversation you had with the person who made it - that is the difference between buying art and finding it\, and it is why people build their whole last weekend of July around this. ArtWalk Liberty Station returns to the Liberty Station Arts District for three days\, July 31 through August 2\, 2026\, now in its 19th year\, gathering over 175 artists from across the United States and Mexico in one of San Diego's most architecturally striking outdoor settings. The festival spans the historic Naval Training Center grounds in Point Loma\, with paintings\, photography\, sculpture\, ceramics\, glass art\, mixed media\, and handcrafted jewelry. The Friday Preview Party (July 31\, 5-8 PM) is a ticketed event at $25 per person\, including a complimentary drink and live music\, and gives collectors early access to browse and buy directly from the artists\; Saturday and Sunday (August 1-2) are free to the public. Liberty Station is at 2751 Dewey Road in Point Loma\, accessible via the Old Town Transit Center with connecting bus lines\, and ample free parking is available on the campus grounds. The layout is walkable among historic Spanish Colonial Revival buildings\, with galleries\, restaurants\, and boutiques surrounding the festival.
