DESCRIPTION:Every summer\, Laguna Beach stages one of the most extraordinary spectacles in all of American art — the Pageant of the Masters\, where living humans recreate famous paintings\, sculptures\, and works of art in breathtaking tableaux vivants. The 2026 production is titled "The Greatest of All Time\," celebrating artists and art movements that defined history. Costumed performers hold perfectly still as lighting engineers sculpt them into exact three-dimensional replicas of masterworks\, accompanied by a live orchestra narrating the stories behind each piece.\n\nThe Pageant runs nightly at 8:30 PM from July 9 through September 4\, 2026\, at the iconic Irvine Bowl amphitheater — an outdoor venue cut into the Laguna hills that has hosted this tradition since 1933. The experience is unlike anything else in Southern California. One moment you're watching what appears to be a photograph of a Dutch Golden Age oil painting\; then the lights shift and 20 people exhale simultaneously\, reminding you it was all real.\n\nDoors open at 7:30 PM\; arrive early to walk the Festival of Arts grounds alongside the venue. Parking is available in city lots along Laguna Canyon Road\, with shuttle service running from overflow lots.
