The flags fly from mid-May through June 1\, but the Memorial Day Observance on May 25 is the centerpiece of the entire installation.\n\nThe City of Temecula and local VFW posts host a formal ceremony at 10 AM featuring a live performance by the Temecula Valley Symphony\, patriotic readings\, a wreath-laying\, and remarks from community leaders. The Duck Pond amphitheater setting -- surrounded by flags\, adjacent to Veterans Memorial Park -- makes this one of the most visually memorable Memorial Day events in all of SoCal.\n\nThis is hometown Temecula at its best: a genuine civic tradition that draws families\, veterans\, and first-timers alike. The symphony performance sets it apart -- this is not just a ceremony with remarks\, it is a full observance with real musical weight behind it.\n\nFree and open to the public.
