DESCRIPTION:August closes the summer Smash circuit at Common Space Brewery with the monthly tournament in Hawthorne. This edition arrives after EVO 2026 in Las Vegas — players returning with adjusted tier lists\, new tech\, and competitive fire tend to carry that energy directly into the August bracket\, which makes the late-summer sessions some of the most technically interesting of the year. Every last Wednesday of the month: amateur and competitive brackets\, beer available\, community present. Super Smash Bros Ultimate format\, open bracket seeding. Check-in at 6 PM\, matches start at 7 PM\, runs through 9 PM. Entry fee funds the prize pool. The Common Space monthly has become a genuine anchor for the SoCal Smash community — the kind of regular event that sustains a competitive scene between the larger regionals.
