DESCRIPTION:Beach Episode is what anime fans call it when a series takes a break from the plot and puts the whole cast at the beach. It is usually filler. It is often the favorite episode anyway.\n\nThe San Diego anime community is doing it literally. August 15 at Leisure Lagoon in Mission Bay — open outdoor space\, no agenda\, just anime fans in the same place at the same time. The name tells you exactly who this is for: if you understood the reference\, you already know whether you belong here.\n\nThis is a community-organized day out. Bring what you would bring to the beach: food\, sunscreen\, something to sit on. The event runs from 10am to 4pm. Attendance is free.\n\nLeisure Lagoon is at 1093 E Mission Bay Drive\, San Diego. Parking available at the Mission Bay park lots nearby. The anime community gathers here every summer — it is never the main arc\, but it is always worth it.
