About

Brendan Fowler believed an independent label could keep the underground alive for twenty-five years by not flinching on any of the small things — the art direction, the pressings, the room you choose to throw the party in. So Post Present Medium did it. Twenty-five years of records, books, and shows that the algorithm has never quite been able to surface. The 25-year anniversary lands at The Smell, downtown's all-ages alley venue, three nights in a row. Night I opens with Behavior, Flaccid Mojo, Early Dog, BARR (Fowler's own project), and My Generation, with DJ Roy Tatum holding the room between sets. The Smell has no chairs and no marquee and you find the entrance by the painted door behind the parking lot. The bands play to about two hundred people who already know each other or are about to. Three-day weekend pass is $50; single-night door is $20. Doors at eight. The rest of the lineup runs Friday and Saturday.

5 Star Theatricals presents The Wizard of Oz
Jul 10, 2026 2100 E. Thousand Oaks, Fred Kavli …

Fred Kavli Theatre, Thousand Oaks. July 10th, 2026. 5 Star Theatricals brings The Wizard of Oz to one of the best regional stages in the Conejo Valley — a production company that knows exactly what this room can hold, in a venue built to hold it properly. Tickets at ticketmaster.com. The Kavli is 1,800 seats of genuine theatrical infrastructure — orchestra pit, fly space, an acoustic ceiling that makes a live ensemble sound the way it's supposed to. 5 Star Theatricals works this room specifically, which means the production design is calibrated to what the space does well: sightlines clean from nearly everywhere, the proscenium wide enough for a full company. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in a room with real reverb is a different experience than it is anywhere else. Oz is a show people bring their kids to because their parents brought them — that generational loop runs through the audience in a way that's visible during curtain call, which is worth staying for. Regional theater at this level doesn't get enough credit. Ticketmaster has the seats. Pick yours before the good sections close.

Sunset Cliffs Auto Show 2026 — Presented by Hodad's
Sep 12, 2026 Free The Inn at Sunset Cliffs, 1370 Sun…

Point Loma Avenue on a September morning, when the marine layer burns off and the cars start arriving. The Sunset Cliffs Auto Show has always understood where it is — a neighborhood show with one of the best backdrops in San Diego, five blocks from the water, steps from the kind of burger joint that's been here longer than most of the cars on display. The 2026 show takes place September 12 from 10 AM to 3 PM at The Inn at Sunset Cliffs on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. Presented by Hodad's Ocean Beach, it draws a mix of custom builds, classics, and community regulars — all eligible for vehicle awards and competing for the $1,000 Best in Show prize. The event includes a kids zone, vendor booths, raffles, and live music. Entry for spectators is free. Vehicle owners can enter for $30 (fire extinguisher required). The show is organized by local car clubs and benefits the Ocean Beach neighborhood through the San Diego Association of Car Clubs. September 12, 10 AM–3 PM. The Inn at Sunset Cliffs, 1370 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107.

FYF Presents: Something in the Water — Los Angeles 2026
Sep 12 – Sep 13, 2026 Los Angeles, CA

Something in the Water is Pharrell Williams' curated festival brand, known for programming that bridges mainstream cultural credibility with genuine underground roots — hip-hop, R&B, soul, Afrobeats, and indie music woven into a festival experience that reflects the artist's own range as a creator and collaborator. After establishing itself on the East Coast, the festival's Los Angeles edition brings that same curatorial sensibility to Southern California. Location for the LA edition is to be confirmed — Downtown LA, Exposition Park, and the LA State Historic Park have all hosted large-scale festivals in recent years and represent the most likely candidates. Festival footprint typically includes multiple stages, art activations, food programming from local and national vendors, and curated brand partnerships that reflect the festival's fashion and culture adjacency. Lineup announcements typically come in waves through the spring. Check somethinginthewaterfest.com for confirmed venue, lineup, and ticket information as the September event date approaches. This is a festival for people who want curation, not just volume.
