This is SoCal summer distilled into a fairground: carnival rides\, deep-fried everything\, Pacific Amphitheatre concerts\, and the specific noise-and-neon overload that makes summer feel like summer.\n\nThe OC Fair runs July 17 through August 16 at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa\, and the 2026 edition carries the theme Your Adventure Awaits. The food is the real draw -- turkey legs\, bacon-wrapped corn\, deep-fried Oreos\, the kind of choices that make a nutritionist cry and a county fair legendary. The Pacific Amphitheatre concert series runs nightly with acts spanning classic rock to Latin pop to country\, tucked inside the fairgrounds where the bass competes with the Ferris wheel lights\; it is one of the best outdoor music venues in SoCal.
