DESCRIPTION:For fifty years the tapes sat in Zambian record shops and almost nowhere else — a psychedelic hard-rock band so good and so lost that owning the vinyl became a secret handshake among the few crate-diggers who knew. W.I.T.C.H. — We Intend To Cause Havoc — were the biggest band in 1970s Zambia\, the beating heart of a scene called Zamrock\, and then history swallowed them whole. The reissue campaigns brought them back. The surviving members put the band back together. And now the thing that felt impossible — standing in a room while that fuzzed-out guitar actually happens in front of you — is a late-August night in downtown Los Angeles. The Teragram Ballroom is small enough that there is no bad spot\, which is exactly how a resurrection should feel. The Now-Again heads and Zamrock obsessives — the ones who reclaim lost history one record at a time — already have this circled. All ages. Doors 7pm\, show 8pm.
