Mira Mesa and the Convoy corridor — San Diego's Council District 6\, the most Asian-American district in the city — did exactly that\, and the D6 Fall Festival is the harvest-season version of it. Run by the same team behind the beloved D6 Night Market\, it takes the food-truck rows and vendor booths you come for and wraps them in everything a fall evening should have: a movie in the park\, a trunk-or-treat for the kids\, pumpkin decorating\, live performances\, and the particular warmth of a multi-ethnic immigrant community that shows up for its own. It is free\, it runs into the evening\, and it is the kind of event where three generations of a family split one plate of food and stay till the movie ends.
