DESCRIPTION:Some races you run against the clock. This one you run against something considerably harder\, and you do it in a costume.\n\nThe course winds past the Bruin Bear and the John Wooden statue and finishes outside Drake Stadium\, with a Candyland zone for the kids somewhere in the middle of it. Under all of the costumes\, this is a gathering of survivors\, families\, and the people who love them\, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer through the Hirshberg Foundation.\n\nFor twenty-nine years it has turned grief into a costumed morning of motion — a kid in a dinosaur suit running beside somebody carrying a photograph\, and nobody finding that strange for a second.\n\nYou do not have to be fast. You just have to show up\, in whatever costume makes the morning lighter.\n\nEverybody out there is running for a name. Bring yours.
