If you don't — this sentence is about to make you want one.\n\nPeter Hook cofounded Joy Division and New Order. Those two names contain more influence per syllable than most genres manage in a lifetime. On September 18\, 2026\, Hook and his band The Light perform New Order's Get Ready LP in its entirety at The Sound in Del Mar\, followed by a full second set of Joy Division and New Order classics. This is not a tribute act. This is the man who wrote the bass lines playing them on the stages they were meant to fill.\n\nThe Sound is an outdoor music venue at the Del Mar Fairgrounds — 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard — with an atmosphere closer to a European festival stage than a typical amphitheater.
