The park has neither\, and that changes everything about the way house music sounds at two in the afternoon.\n\nDay Trip In The Park is the outdoor daytime electronic music series that has turned LA State Historic Park into the city's most reliable summer ritual. Every Saturday through August\, the park fills with house music\, natural light\, and a crowd that treats a 2 PM set time the way other cities treat midnight. No glow sticks. No fog machines. Just speakers and sky and the downtown skyline behind you.\n\nThe August lineup runs three consecutive weekends: CID and Tobehonest on August 16\, Discip and Adam Sellouk on August 23\, and Loco Dice and Archie Hamilton on August 30. Each show starts at 2 PM and runs until the park decides the sun is low enough.\n\nCalling it a festival misses it. It is a recurring gathering that happens to have world-class DJs.
