World-class ori Tahiti dancers from across the region and beyond compete in traditional and contemporary categories. Musicians play to'ere drums and ukulele with the kind of precision that only comes from a tradition passed hand to hand across generations. The marketplace overflows with handcrafted tapa cloth\, shell jewelry\, pareo wraps\, and island treasures you cannot find anywhere else in Southern California.\n\nThis is the bridge between French Polynesia and the American West Coast — a living cultural exchange that has been growing quietly for sixteen years while most of San Diego had no idea it existed.
