Local artists install ofrendas along the street. Mariachi\, Baile Folklorico\, and Danzantes perform on stages that sit between the murals the neighborhood has been painting for fifty years. Food vendors serve what the families in this ZIP code actually cook. And the market — handmade\, local\, rooted — is the kind where every booth has a story that starts with "my grandmother."\n\nThe theme this year is Barrio Mágico\, and it fits: three blocks of a neighborhood that has been fighting for its identity since the freeway cut through it\, turning the annual return of the dead into a declaration that the living aren't going anywhere either.\n\nMonday\, October 26\, 2026.
