SUMMARY:San Diego Veterans Day Parade 2026
DESCRIPTION:Every November 11th\, Harbor Drive in downtown San Diego becomes something that most cities have forgotten how to be: a street full of people who showed up not because they were sold a ticket\, but because they wanted to stand next to strangers and feel the same thing at the same time. The Veterans Day Parade is one of the largest in the country\, and San Diego — a city built on the bones of the military — takes it seriously in a way that does not feel performed.\n\nThe parade starts at 10 AM in front of the County Administration Building at the corner of West Grape and Harbor Drive\, then rolls south past the USS Midway Museum before turning onto Pacific Highway. The floats and marching bands are part of it\, but the real moment is the one you do not plan for — a ninety-year-old veteran in a wheelchair getting a standing ovation from a crowd that includes people who were not born when he served.\n\nFree to attend. No tickets\, no registration. Just show up on Harbor Drive with enough time to find a spot along the route. The parade runs rain or shine. If you have kids\, bring them. If you have a veteran in your life\, bring them. The Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial in La Jolla also hosts a ceremony at 2 PM if you want to extend the day.
