SUMMARY:Deep Dish
DESCRIPTION:They broke up in 2006 and stayed broken up for the better part of a decade\, and for a lot of people that was the end of a specific era of dance music that never quite got replaced.\n\nDeep Dish — Sharam and Dubfire\, two Iranian-American producers out of Washington DC — won a Grammy\, defined progressive house for most of a decade\, and then went their separate ways at the exact moment the genre they built started getting called dated. The reunion sets are long and unhurried in a way that current club bookings rarely allow\, which is the entire appeal: they came up when a DJ got four hours and used them to actually construct something rather than deliver a highlight reel.\n\nHollywood\, Halloween weekend\, in a room built around the sound system rather than the sightlines.\n\nTen at night on Friday the thirtieth.
