SUMMARY:Desi Comedy Fest Los Angeles 2026 — Hollywood Improv
DESCRIPTION:Your parents spent thirty years building a life in a country that does not always get the joke\, and now you are in a room full of people who get the joke. Not the setup. Not the premise. The joke — the one that lives in the space between two languages\, between two sets of expectations\, between the person your family raised and the person you became when they were not looking.\n\nDesi Comedy Fest is the biggest South Asian comedy festival in America\, and when it lands at the Hollywood Improv on November 6\, the room will be full of people who have spent their whole lives translating. The lineup features top South Asian comedians performing two shows — 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM — and the material hits different when you are not the only person in the audience who grew up eating with your hands and pretending you did not.\n\nThis is not diversity programming. It is a scene a decade in the building\, and the funniest rooms in America are the ones where the comedian never has to explain the culture first.\n\nThe Lab at Hollywood Improv\, 8162 Melrose Ave. That same scene runs smaller rooms across the city all year.
