DESCRIPTION:Lace up a pair of skates at the Hotel del Coronado and glide across a rink that overlooks the Pacific Ocean\, and the absurdity of it never stops being beautiful.\n\nSkating by the Sea returns to the Del's Windsor Lawn for another season of beachfront ice skating — the kind of experience that exists nowhere else on Earth. You are skating. Sand is twenty feet away. The Victorian turret glows behind you. Waves are breaking within earshot. Your brain cannot reconcile any of it and decides to just enjoy the moment instead.\n\nThe rink runs nightly from late November through early January\, which means it is there for Thanksgiving week\, Christmas\, New Year's\, and every quiet Tuesday in between when San Diego remembers that winter is a feeling\, not a temperature. Ninety-minute sessions\, skate rental included in the ticket price. Proceeds support Make-A-Wish San Diego\, so every stumble on the ice is technically philanthropy.\n\nThis year's theme is A Holiday Through Time. Tickets from $35.
