DESCRIPTION:Night two is where the band stops performing the tour and starts playing the room.\n\nBy the second show at a two-hundred-capacity club\, L7 have already learned which corner of the Casbah swallows the guitars and which songs made this specific crowd lose it. That changes what happens. The between-song talk gets longer and worse and better. Somebody yells for a deep cut off Smell the Magic and there is an actual argument on stage about whether they remember how it goes. Sometimes they play it anyway\, badly\, and that is the one you will describe to people for years.\n\nThis is a band whose whole thesis was that being unimpressed is a pose and enthusiasm is braver. Three decades on\, in a room this size\, that lands harder than it ever did in an arena. The crowd is a mix of people who bought Bricks Are Heavy new and people who found them through a needle drop in a film\, and neither group can stand still.\n\nThe later start is not an accident. Night two runs long.\n\nKettner Boulevard\, Wednesday the seventh. Half past eight\, and later than that by the end.
