SUMMARY:Hit The Lights
DESCRIPTION:Being fifteen in a basement with a band playing four feet away is a formative experience that a lot of adults have quietly never replaced\, and the Ohio pop-punk that soundtracked it has turned out to have a much longer half-life than anyone predicted. This band belongs to that specific mid-2000s Warped Tour lineage\, and the people who show up now are largely the same ones who were there then\, plus a younger crowd who found it through a revival that nobody in the industry saw coming. The songs are short\, fast\, and built entirely around the last chorus. Expect the room to handle most of the vocals. Highland Park's upstairs hall has a wood floor and no seats\, which is the required configuration. Music at 8:00 PM at 104 N Avenue 56\, a Sunday. Everyone in the room has one specific person they went to these shows with\, and this is the night they text them.
