SUMMARY:Home Alone 2: Lost in New York — Live in Concert with the San Diego Symphony
DESCRIPTION:You already know the ending. You've seen Kevin outrun the Sticky Bandits a hundred times. You've memorized the face he makes at the concierge\, the Plaza Hotel lobby\, the way the pigeon lady turns out to be the bravest person in the whole movie. None of that matters\, because you've never heard John Williams' score performed live twenty feet from your chair while the film plays on a screen the size of a building.\n\nThe San Diego Symphony performs the complete Home Alone 2 score at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park — outdoors\, under the December sky\, with the bay behind you and Williams' orchestral arrangements filling the kind of open air they were always meant to fill. The brass hits different when there's no ceiling. The strings hit different when you can see the cellist's bow. The moment Kevin walks through a snowy Central Park and the full orchestra swells beneath it — that's the moment you understand why people keep coming back to this format. You already knew the movie. You didn't know the music.\n\nThis is a holiday tradition built for the person who watches Christmas movies year-round and the person dragged along by them. Both leave converted. One night only: Saturday\, December 12\, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park\, 1245 Seventh Ave\, San Diego.
