SUMMARY:Little Italy Tree Lighting & Christmas Village 2026
DESCRIPTION:Every December\, the people who moved away from this neighborhood still drive back to stand in exactly this spot when the Aurora tree lights up at dusk. That is what a tradition earns when it belongs to a place and not a brand.\n\nLittle Italy's annual Tree Lighting and Christmas Village transforms India Street into a winter market on Saturday\, December 5 from 4 PM to 8 PM. The celebration centers on the Piazza della Famiglia\, where a traditional Italian tree lighting ceremony brings the crowd together under the glow of the neighborhood's 25-foot permanent tree and the dazzling Aurora tree at Piazza Basilone. Towering nutcrackers and kinetic holiday displays line the streets. The Christmas Village on India Street features unique gifts\, artisan vendors\, live music\, and holiday treats.\n\nThis is a free community event — no tickets\, no gates\, just a neighborhood that opens its doors the way Little Italy has done since before San Diego was a baseball town. Santa returns for the celebration.
