SUMMARY:Soft Vein
DESCRIPTION:The eyeliner has been in the same drawer since you were nineteen and you have not thrown it out\, because some part of you always knew there would be another Thursday. You have a normal job now. You answer emails. None of that ever touched the thing that wants a dark room and a synthesizer at volume.\n\nSoft Vein is Justin Chamberlain's project\, formed in 2022\, and it has grown a genuine cult in the LA darkwave scene — the kind of following that is small enough to recognise faces and big enough to sell out rooms like this. The sound sits where darkwave\, industrial\, EBM and electro-pop overlap\, which in practice means it is sad and you can dance to it\, the two things that scene has always insisted are the same thing.\n\nOrange County gets treated as the place without an underground. The people who actually go out here know better\, and they have known for years.\n\nThursday\, November 12. Doors 8 p.m.\, show 9. La Santa\, 220 East 3rd Street\, Santa Ana.
