SUMMARY:Rave Jesus - Rave Revival Fall Tour
DESCRIPTION:Nobody warns you that leaving a faith community costs you the music too. You can walk away from the doctrine and still catch yourself\, years later\, missing the specific physical fact of a room full of people singing the same thing at once with their eyes shut.\n\nRave Jesus is the strangest possible answer to that\, and it works. Hard dance production under genuinely earnest worship writing\, played to a room that is half people who never left and half people who did. The all-ages door matters here in a way it does not at most shows — it means the fifteen-year-old who came with the youth group and the thirty-year-old who has not been to church in a decade are on the same floor.\n\nTwenty dollars in advance is club-night pricing for something that behaves more like a revival. Whatever it is\, it is not cynical\, and that is rare enough to be worth the drive.\n\nSaturday\, December 19. Doors 7 p.m.\, show 8. Teragram Ballroom\, 1234 West 7th Street. All ages.
