SUMMARY:Jake's Lego House
DESCRIPTION:Liking two things that nobody thinks go together gets lonely in a specific way. You build\, and you have the playlist on\, and the two halves of that afternoon have never once met anyone else who holds both. A tea shop on West Baseline Road in Rialto is running a birthday party built on exactly that seam — a deco table where you sit and decorate the thing in front of you\, vendors along the side\, a menu made for the day. Deco tables are the giveaway detail. They are not a photo op\; they are an hour of sitting shoulder to shoulder with someone you just met\, both of you concentrating on something small\, talking sideways because neither of you has to make eye contact. It is the easiest way anyone has invented to make a friend after thirty. Sunday\, November 15\, noon to 5\, at Tea Be Honest. The Inland Empire does not get many of these\, and the people who run them are usually in the room\, easy to find\, already planning the next one.
