SUMMARY:Marcelaween: A Chicano Goth Halloween Party
DESCRIPTION:Two things you were told to pick between: the music that made you want to disappear at fifteen\, and the neighborhood that raised you. Nobody ever explained why they had to be separate\, and for a long time they were\, because the rooms that played one were nowhere near the blocks that held the other. Barrio Logan settles it for one night. Three San Diego bands live\, DJs working across everything\, and Tacos Altamirano set up on site\, which is the detail that tells you exactly what kind of room this is — you are not leaving at midnight to find food\, the food is already here\, and it is the good stuff. Doors at seven and it runs until two\, eighteen and up\, fifteen dollars if you buy ahead and twenty at the door. Saturday October 17 at Corazon on Sampson Street. Send this to the person who has been saying for years that nobody throws the party they actually want. Somebody finally did.
