SUMMARY:DAME\, The Reckless
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday is the night nothing is supposed to happen. You have agreed to this without ever being asked\, and so has everyone you know\, which is how a whole evening every week quietly went missing.\n\nThe cure is a small independent room on Kettner where the bill is two bands you have not heard of yet. That is the entire pitch and it is a better one than it sounds: nobody is there out of obligation\, nobody is filming the whole set\, and the thing you walk out with is a band you now get to tell people about first. That specific pleasure is only available before anyone else knows.\n\nDoors at seven-thirty\, music at eight-thirty. Home at a reasonable hour\, which on a Wednesday is not a small consideration.\n\nNovember 18\, Casbah\, 2501 Kettner Blvd. Text the friend who always says yes to weeknights. This room runs a bill most nights of the week\, and the midweek ones are where the good discoveries hide.
