SUMMARY:Broadway Rave
DESCRIPTION:Picture a nightclub at ten on the Friday after Thanksgiving where the drop is the key change in Defying Gravity and six hundred people scream it at a ceiling. That is the whole product and it is not a joke - it is a real touring club night that sells out rooms across the country because it solved a problem nobody was addressing: theatre kids grew up\, still want to go out\, and do not want to hear house music. So the DJ plays Hamilton into Mamma Mia into Rent\, the floor knows every lyric and every gesture\, and strangers perform choreography at each other with total sincerity. Go with one friend who did drama and watch a version of them you have not met. Twenty-one and over\, late start\, and the crowd arrives already knowing what it is - which is what makes it work. Teragram Ballroom\, downtown Los Angeles\, the night after the holiday.
LOCATION:Teragram Ballroom\, 1234 W 7th St\, Los Angeles\, CA 90017
