SUMMARY:Padres Postseason Watch Party — NLDS Game 2 at Gallagher Square
DESCRIPTION:A one o'clock Sunday game is the sort your dad used to leave on in the background while something cooked. This one will not be background anywhere in this county.\n\nThe lawn opens again\, same five dollars\, and a Sunday crowd is a different animal from a Saturday one — more strollers\, more sunscreen\, more people who decided around eleven that they could not sit at home and wait for a score alert. Nobody actually sits. The videoboard past the outfield wall is large enough that you forget you are not at the real thing\, right up until a strike call goes the wrong way and three thousand people groan at a screen in unison. The team store stays open and a few concession stands run\, so nobody has to leave the lawn and miss half an inning.\n\nGallagher Square at Petco Park\, 100 Park Boulevard. Gates at noon\, an hour before first pitch. Whatever this series turns into\, this crowd reassembles for it.
