SUMMARY:Goth Clothing Swap at San Diego Goth Picnic!
DESCRIPTION:Somewhere in your closet is a beautiful black thing you have not worn in two years\, and getting rid of it feels like admitting something. That is the quiet premise here. People haul bags of velvet and mesh and buckled boots to a lawn in Mission Hills\, spread it all out\, and trade. No register\, no vendor booth\, nobody making money off your nostalgia. A dress that stopped being yours becomes someone else's favorite thing by four in the afternoon\, and you watch it happen in real time\, which is a strange and good feeling nobody warns you about. The picnic part is literal: blankets\, snacks\, dogs\, sunlight\, a crowd dressed for a funeral enjoying an afternoon in a public park with total sincerity. It costs nothing and it is open to every age\, which means teenagers who found this music last spring stand next to people who have been at it since the eighties. Bring the bag. Leave lighter than you came\, in more ways than one.
