SUMMARY:Goth Collective Pumpkin Carving Party at Manor Coffee
DESCRIPTION:Carving a pumpkin alone in your kitchen at thirty-one is a slightly sad activity\, and carving one in a room full of strangers who also own too much black clothing is somehow not. The Goth Collective worked this out before anyone else did. They take over a darkly romantic little coffee bar off Washington Street for two hours on a Sunday evening\, hand out knives and newspaper\, and let a crowd that mostly met online do something aggressively wholesome together. Nobody is performing. People are hunched over gourds comparing technique\, arguing about whether a Nosferatu silhouette is too obvious\, drinking coffee at an hour that guarantees none of them sleep tonight. The venue does real work here: it was built to look like a Victorian parlor\, so the atmosphere never has to be imported\, it is already in the wallpaper. Two hours\, one pumpkin\, a handful of new numbers in your phone. The seeds are your problem to take home.
