SUMMARY:swedm (Varg2tm + jamesjamesjames)
DESCRIPTION:Two artists who have each spent years being difficult on purpose are sharing a warehouse bill east of downtown\, and the people who care about this have already cleared the Wednesday. Varg2tm makes music that refuses to resolve into anything comfortable\, and jamesjamesjames comes at the same impulse from a sillier\, more hyperactive angle\, which is why putting them in one room is a better idea than either alone. The venue is a plain industrial box on East 16th with a concrete floor and almost nothing to look at\, and that is deliberate: nobody here is paying for decor. Doors at eight\, which for this scene is early\, meaning the first sets are the experimental ones before the room fills and the tempo climbs. You will not recognise most of what you hear and nobody will explain it to you. Go anyway\, stand closer to the front than feels reasonable\, and let it be the strangest Wednesday you have had in a while.
