SUMMARY:Modern Monday — Top Deck Keep\, Riverside
DESCRIPTION:Your seventeen-year-old self built a deck that is\, improbably\, still legal. It is in a closet at your parents' house. In most games that would be archaeology.\n\nModern reaches back about two decades and then stops\, which makes it the format where the thing you loved as a teenager can still be the thing you play on a Monday night in the Inland Empire. The decks have names people say the way they say the names of old friends — Burn\, Tron\, Death's Shadow — and a Riverside regular will have piloted the same eighty cards for years\, changing four of them a season.\n\nTen dollars gets you in\, and the fee buys a room that takes it a notch more seriously than a free table does. People keep notes. Somebody will ask what you are on before you have finished sitting down\, then nod and quietly adjust.\n\n10128 Indiana Ave\, Mondays at seven. The old deck still works\, which is the unsettling part.
