SUMMARY:True Widow
DESCRIPTION:Music has a speed that matches the hour when you have given up on falling asleep. Not sad\, exactly. Slow and heavy and patient\, and somehow a relief rather than one more weight on the pile.\n\nThe band had to invent a word for it because nothing on the shelf covered the sound: stonegaze. Doom tempos underneath shoegaze guitar\, two voices trading lines with no urgency whatsoever\, a trio out of Texas who have spent fifteen years declining to speed up for anybody who asked. Milkys is a room up on Alhambra Avenue on the unglamorous side of the river\, which is exactly the correct setting for it.\n\nThird week of January\, a Thursday\, nothing else happening anywhere. The month is long and this is a good way to spend a piece of it.\n\nSend it to whoever once put a Jesu record on in your car and never explained why.\n\n5240 Alhambra Avenue\, doors seven\, Thursday the 21st.
