SUMMARY:Golden Lion\, A Lens To The Sun\, Suzie's Casket
DESCRIPTION:Mid-December in San Diego is when the touring circuit goes quiet and the local bands take the room back. Ten dollars\, three names you have to look up\, a Monday.\n\nGolden Lion headline a bill that sits somewhere between heavy shoegaze and post-hardcore\, the sort of thing that is loud enough to feel in the floor but structured enough to hum afterward. A Lens To The Sun and Suzie's Casket fill out an evening with no obvious commercial logic to it\, which is usually the sign that the bands booked it themselves.\n\nDecember bills like this one are where you find out which groups are actually going to still exist in the spring. The crowd is small\, the sound is good because the room is not full\, and nobody is there who does not want to be.\n\n21+. Doors 7:30\, music 8:30. $10.
