SUMMARY:DNBNL Presents DELTA HEAVY: APEX
DESCRIPTION:Drum and bass never really left\, it just stopped being covered\, and the people who kept going to the nights anyway have built one of the most durable scenes in Los Angeles out of almost no press.\n\nDelta Heavy make the loud\, cinematic end of the genre\, the kind that is engineered for a room with a proper rig rather than headphones. The Globe Theatre is a restored 1913 playhouse on Broadway with a domed ceiling and a balcony\, which does something to 174 BPM that a warehouse cannot: the sub collects overhead and comes back down.\n\nDNBNL have been running these for years\, and the crowd is a mix of people who were at Hollywood raves in 2003 and people who found the genre through a video game soundtrack last year. They get along fine. The music does not require a shared history\, only a shared tolerance for volume.\n\n740 South Broadway\, downtown LA. 9pm.
LOCATION:Globe Theatre\, 740 S Broadway\, Los Angeles\, CA 90014
