SUMMARY:Godzilla Invades Little Tokyo 2026: Terror of Mechagodzilla with Tomoko Ai
DESCRIPTION:The woman who played Katsura Mafune in 1975 is going to be sitting in a room on Central Avenue answering questions about it. If you know why that sentence matters\, you already know whether you are going.\n\nTerror of Mechagodzilla was the last Godzilla film of the Showa era and the only one Ishiro Honda came back to direct at the end\, which gives it a melancholy the rubber-suit reputation never accounts for. Tomoko Ai appears in person for a talk and Q&A afterward\, then signs at the pop-up shop around the corner. Every ticket includes a B2 commemorative poster.\n\nThe reason to come is less the film than the room: Little Tokyo's tokusatsu community is multigenerational\, and the questions asked at these things are not about trivia. They are from people whose parents took them to these movies.\n\nJANM\, 100 North Central Avenue. Doors noon\, $25.
