SUMMARY:Hostile presents SISTO: DEVOUR
DESCRIPTION:Concrete floor\, roll-up door\, no stage worth the name\, and a PA that was chosen for volume rather than fidelity. Hardcore in a warehouse off East 16th is a format\, and the format has rules nobody writes down: you pick each other up\, the band is at eye level\, and the person stage-diving onto you tonight will hand you a water later. Nothing about it is comfortable and that is the whole architecture. The promoter name on this bill is the thing to pay attention to - in this scene the promoter is the curator\, and the people who follow one will go to a show without knowing a single band on it. The bill will run four or five bands and finish earlier than you expect\, because nobody in this format plays a long set. Nine on Saturday\, downtown. The warehouse circuit moves between a few buildings down here\, and which ones are still standing changes year to year.
