It is not really about the setlist. It is about standing close enough to see somebody's hands on the synth\, in a low-ceilinged room on Santa Monica Boulevard\, after years of watching the same act from a seat with a number on it.\n\nThe tell for how badly people want this is the resale market\, which went several multiples over face within hours of the public sale. That is the honest signal\, not the billing. This is a small-room show in support of new material\, which in practice means a crowd that knows the old songs well enough to carry the choruses without being asked\, and a band close enough to hear them doing it.
