SUMMARY:Jenia Tarsol + Malandra Jr. (Cielo du Sol in Malibu)
DESCRIPTION:Dance music in daylight is a completely different proposition and most people only discover this by accident. Without the dark doing the work\, the music has to actually be good\, the crowd cannot hide\, and everybody ends up considerably friendlier than they would be at two in the morning. Add a hillside in Malibu and rows of vines and you have an event that bears almost no relation to a club night despite the same records being played. It starts at midday and ends while it is still light\, which sounds modest and is in fact the luxury: you get the whole thing and still have an evening. Expect sunburn\, expect to talk to strangers\, and expect at least one person to say they had forgotten this was allowed. Take somebody who insists they have aged out of this kind of thing.
