DESCRIPTION:An outdoor terrace at four in the afternoon is the most forgiving possible setting for dance music and the least forgiving for a DJ. Nobody is intoxicated enough to be generous\, the sun exposes everything\, and there is no darkness doing half the emotional work. What survives that is usually melodic\, slightly nostalgic and built on records that were popular before irony arrived. Eurodance and trance played straight\, in daylight\, to people who are not pretending to be above it. That combination has quietly become one of the better nights out available in San Diego and almost nobody writes about it. Finishes early enough that the evening is still yours. Go with somebody who thinks they hate this kind of music\; daylight and a good terrace have converted harder cases.
