SUMMARY:Shermanology
DESCRIPTION:Live vocals over house music is a high-risk arrangement because a weak singer is instantly obvious and a strong one makes the DJ redundant. This duo solved it by being related: one produces\, one sings\, and the gospel training in the voice gives the records a lift that a sampled vocal cannot fake. What that produces live is closer to a performance than a set\, with actual dynamics and an actual ending. The room is small and the start is late\, so the first hour is the warm-up nobody should skip. Worth it specifically if you have been listening to a lot of instrumental dance music lately and have started to miss a human being being audible in it. Sibling acts also carry something a hired vocalist never can\, which is thirty years of knowing exactly when to get out of each other's way.
