SUMMARY:Echoe Events Presents: 1300Saint
DESCRIPTION:Promoter-presented bills for artists this early in a career are where a city's rap scene actually gets built\, and they are invisible to anybody who waits for a tour announcement. Somebody local books the room\, pulls together a lineup\, and the headliner plays to a crowd that is half their own and half curious. Sets are short. The energy is disproportionate to the audience size because everybody on stage understands exactly what the night is for. Going to one of these is the closest thing available to watching a career decide whether it is going to happen. Downtown\, a Sunday\, no press\, no guest list worth speaking of. If you have ever said you wish you had seen somebody before they got big\, this is the mechanism by which that happens.
