SUMMARY:Kompany\, Beastboi\, Careless Castle
DESCRIPTION:Riddim bills tend to run four acts deep because the scene is built on support rather than hierarchy\, and the artists on them genuinely rotate who headlines depending on the city. What that produces is a night where the quality does not drop off after the first hour\, which is unusual for heavy electronic music. The sound is slow\, mechanical and almost comically repetitive\, and the audience treats each restatement of the main idea as an event in itself. India Street in Little Italy is an extremely civilised address for something this aggressive\, and the contrast is part of the fun. Nine o'clock start\, which is early enough that the whole bill gets a real set rather than fifteen minutes. If you have only encountered this music as a clip\, the room changes it entirely.
