SUMMARY:Anaheim Ducks vs. Seattle Kraken
DESCRIPTION:Friday in Orange County has a lower centre of gravity than Friday in Los Angeles. Nobody is trying to get anywhere else afterwards\, the parking is a field rather than a structure with a queue\, and the whole evening is allowed to just be the thing it is instead of a stop on the way to something better. Seattle brings a crowd that is still visibly delighted to have a team at all - one of the newest followings in the league and far and away one of the most enthusiastic\, which travels better than cynicism ever does. December hockey is when the season has settled and the lines make sense and you can actually follow what a team is trying to do. Bring somebody who has never been. A Friday with nothing riding on it is the kindest possible introduction to a sport that looks impenetrable on television and is obvious in person.
