SUMMARY:Anaheim Ducks vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
DESCRIPTION:One more week of early darkness before the clocks move\, and a five o'clock face-off on the last Sunday of it feels like squeezing something out of the end of winter. You arrive in daylight\, you leave in the dark\, and the whole evening afterwards is still sitting there. Columbus is not the reason anybody buys a ticket\, and that is fine - a Sunday game against an unfamiliar opponent is the purest version of going because you like going. The crowd is noticeably family-heavy at this hour\, cheerful and unserious in a way the Saturday-night room never is. Take a child if you have access to one. Hockey is the easiest of the major sports to follow live and the hardest on television\, and a Sunday afternoon in a half-full building is the gentlest possible introduction to it. One practical note: a five o'clock start means you are driving home into the last of the light rather than into the worst of the traffic\, which is its own small argument.
